Community handbook /RUIN ROLEPLAY PAKISTAN

Create a Character Worth Remembering

Give your character goals, flaws, and relationships that invite other people into the story.

A memorable character gives other people something to work with.

Start with a reason.

Why is your character here? What are they hoping to change? A practical goal, such as finding steady work or opening a workshop, often creates more interactions than an elaborate claim to power.

Give them limits.

Your character does not need to be good at everything. A believable fear, a bad habit, or a gap in experience gives the story room to grow. Accept setbacks without treating them as a personal defeat.

Build relationships in the city.

Let people earn trust through roleplay. Keep real-life friendships and information separate from what your character knows. Ask questions, remember names, and give other characters a reason to come back.

Bring your own voice.

Ruin Pakistan’s Urdu and English community leaves room for different styles of storytelling. Keep communication respectful and make sure others in the scene can participate.

Leave room for surprise.

You can plan a beginning. You cannot write everyone else’s part. Follow the rules, offer fair opportunities, and let your character’s choices have consequences.
